Good morning,

I would really capeesh some hints to solve my Problem with Honor 5X and Lineageos xiv.1.

What take I washed so far:

• Bought a Honor 5X -> success
• Unlocked bootloader officially -> success
• Installed TWRP newest Version -> success
• Downloaded lineageps xiv.1 newest for kiwi -> success
• moved lineageos zip to phone -> success
• boot into recovery -> success
• wipe Cache / etc -> success
• install zip for lineageos 14.1 -> error 7

From reading a little bit here, I got the idea, that the bootloader is too former for lineageos 14.1. I am non an Honor Practiced, but the phone Bear witness something lime emui 3.something.

What practice I have at present:

Phone with:

• running twrp
• running fastboot

What I do not have:

• adb backup of telephone
• twrp fill-in of phone

I would similar to have the phone back up and running, fifty-fifty stock Image would be fine. Lineageos prefered.

I would similar to have the phone back upwardly and running, even stock Image would be fine. Lineageos prefered.

I guess you are still on emui3, so lollipop version Android 5.
First: update to a marshmallow Android 6 version, BUT Not the near recent. Check with update what is the version proposed and give number here.
Merely you need stock recovery for that...

You should:
Unlock bootloader
Update software/Fw to Android 6 , emui 4, bxxx version <= b340.
Boot in twrp recovery : make nandroid backup1
Flash twrp recovery, flash root, check all OK and make backup2
And so with both backups, you re safe to play with custom roms.

• My bootloader is already unlocked and TWRP is up and running. And then far, that is done.
• The phone runs at present TWRP and fastboot only, cipher else.
• How do I practice this task: Update software/Fw to Android vi , emui 4, bxxx version <= b340

I guess download this b340 fw/sw every bit a zip and install via TWRP?

Hi, y'all must return to stock recovery. Find the thread honor5x depot and get information technology based on model.
Then i think one time stock recovery reinstalled, you tin can update in emui via settings>about phone.

What is **** is, if you update too much, you wont exist able to wink ROM because of volte Fw. Thats why you need to check bxxx version of update to exist sure to exist less than b350.
Otherwise, you need to update manually with for example awarding firmware finder (playstore). Dont hesitate to search in threads your case. Some people may have face same request/issue

I have found the danish update.app for android 6, put it on MicroSD and installed information technology with the update app.

At present the telephone

• runs on Android 6.0.1
• is Kiwi L21
• is EMUI 4.0
• is Baseband 20234,20234.

Will installing lineageos14.i on top of this piece of work or would I get Error vii once more?

I am a fleck careful after the first try with lineageos14.1 and EMUI three.1.

What is your bxxx version ?
Pictures posted above are in also depression resolution to exist blood-red....
But at present yous should kick in twrp to make a nandroid fill-in of all stock with adb (find in threads).
So you flash twrp and backup again with twrp and emui.
So in case of issues y'all re covered. Then try flashing los

B340 volition be ok? The update app offers an OTA with B340.

Now I take a proper TWRP and Adebar backup (adb Linux script framework).

I will give Lineageos 14.1 a try in the side by side days.

Any non-VoLTE Marshmallow firmware volition be OK. My KIW-L21 was on B350D003 before flashing, everything is bully.

The reason for the problem with EMUI iii.1 and Error seven was not obvious to me. I have read some installation guides and many of them ignore that you cannot install lineageos fourteen.one upward on EMUI 3.one. Practiced luck I found this forum.

it is done! The Honor 5X at present runs on Lineageos.

Thanks a lot for the help and the practiced hints.

The reason for the trouble with EMUI 3.1 and Fault 7 was not obvious to me. I have read some installation guides and many of them ignore that you cannot install lineageos fourteen.1 upwards on EMUI 3.one. Good luck I found this forum.

I would suggest you RR,aex or crdroid if you want extra features. Of course backup your los first

Flash twrp

Nandroid backup

Wipe cache, dalvick cache, system, data

Flash lineage

Reboot so wink gapps and SuperSU or magisk

Y'all will have no problems with this method
